The Abbot Consort of Voices: Autumn Reflections
Autumn Reflections
is an evening of sacred and secular choral music, with readings by Brian Robinson. Music will include Rejoice in the Lamb (Benjamin Britten), My soul, there is a country (Parry), Ave verum corpus (Elgar), Wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen (Brahms), Greater love hath no man (Ireland), The Carol of King Canute (Arthur Wills), The Night is Calm (Sullivan) and music by Sweelinck, Howells and Lennox Berkeley.
The Abbot Consort of Voices is a small chamber choir of experienced singers, based in Bury St Edmunds. Membership is by invitation only. Their guest conductor will be David Briggs, Director of Music at Aldeburgh Parish Church and Chorus Master for Jubilee Opera.
The Abbot Consort of Voices has generously agreed to donate the proceeds of this concert to our church Piano Appeal, for which we are most grateful.
