Following a rapturously received debut to a capacity audience in the Apex in February 2011, Ipswich based Wolsey Orchestra returns to Bury St Edmunds with the opening concert in its 40th Birthday Year. Come and join us to celebrate the year of the London Olympics and our 40th Birthday with our sparkling programme. Leaping into action with the Shostakovich Overture, Stravinsky's lesser known music from the Fairy's Kiss, his own tribute to the music of Tchaikovsky, will enthral. Local violinist and leader of the orchestra, Jamie Foreman, will perform the violin solos in Rimsky Korsakov's ever popular Sheherazade.
