Suffolk Music Diary

The Suffolk Music Concert Diary is a calendar of music concerts, recitals and other events in Suffolk and the surrounding areas (Essex, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk). Anyone can view the concert details. Logged-in users can add new diary entries and edit entries they have already created.

 

Suffolk Sinfonia

Suffolk Sinfonia

The Suffolk Sinfonia is a symphony orchestra based at Bury St Edmunds in West Suffolk. Many concerts are given in and around Bury St Edmunds, and the orchestra also gives performances in the surrounding region. Professional music teachers make up the core of the orchestra which rehearses regularly on Wednesdays during term time. Music students and gifted amateurs also help to maintain the high standard of playing.

West Suffolk Young Musician

The West Suffolk Young Musician Competition aims to foster music-making by local young musicians. The competition is open to young musicians living in West Suffolk or attending schools in the area. Formerly run for over 20 years by the West Suffolk Schools' Music Association, this competition is now supported by the Suffolk Sinfonia.
